Queerability Circles

Embrace your Queerability and unlock your full potential

The Queerability Circles are intentionally crafted by Luciana and her team with the unique needs and experiences of the queer community in mind. Luciana has a deep understanding of the unique challenges and experiences faced by the community, and is dedicated to ensuring that every member feels seen, heard, and valued.

Ellie and Nick, the facilitators of our Queerability Circles, bring a wealth of skills and experience to the table. Their aim is to create a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space where participants can explore, learn and connect. As queer individuals themselves, Nick and Ellie truly understand the challenges and experiences faced by the LGBTQ+ community, and their facilitation reflects this deep understanding.

“It all starts with your story. You have been on your own unique journey. That journey has led you here, to the person you are today.
Every single thing you were told, you believed, is broken down and exposed for what they were — scrutinised and analysed. It will cause many ‘WTF’ moments. But you will own your story. You will be your authentic beautiful self.”

Across Rainbows founder, Luciana Cousin

What is 'Queerability'?

Queerability is a term we coined to describe the unique superpower that all individuals within the LGBTQ+ community possess. It's not just about surviving and finding acceptance, but also about thriving, championing, and loving who we are.
When we awaken our Queerability, we live each day with unlimited courage, kindness, and resilience. It allows us to become the person we want to be, behave how we want to behave, and achieve the goals we desire. Queerability is about embracing our unique identities and using them as a source of strength and power.

It's important to recognise that Queerability is not just about overcoming challenges, but also about celebrating our diversity and our ability to create change in the world. It's about being true to ourselves and living authentically, even in the face of adversity.
At Across Rainbows, we understand the power of Queerability, and we work to create a safe and inclusive space for individuals within the LGBTQ+ community to embrace their unique identities and use their superpower to achieve their dreams. We believe that when individuals can live authentically and feel accepted, they can develop the inner strength needed to thrive and create positive change in the world.

Ellena Dobby

A multi-talented artist based in London

Growing up, Ellena struggled to fit in and spent many of her younger years feeling like an outcast.

It wasn't until she attended The University of Kent that she felt herself connecting with others more easily and taking the first few explorative steps to becoming her authentic self and finding her passions.

Areas that particularly resonate with Ellena is the importance of representation and creating equal opportunities. In 2019, she co-founded a curated events company called The ReWrite Company. The company focused on providing a platform for female and non-binary creatives to showcase their talents through personal and cathartic work.

Ellena's life experience has made her a natural leader for identity workshops and embodied her with a refusal to be ashamed of her true self again. She refuses to be silenced by societal norms, taking pride in her sexuality and femininity, and using her experience as a woman to drive her creative work. Her ability to embrace and celebrate her identity has given her a unique perspective on the importance of self-acceptance and expression in all aspects of life.
